Ukraine presented the cultural and educational project in UNESCO
The project “Teaching and learning with living heritage in Ukraine” realized by the Development Centre “Democracy through Culture”, was presented at the side event during UNESCO General Conference which lasted since 7 to 22 November 2023. The director of the Development Centre “Democracy through Culture”, Oleksandr Butsenko, reported on the outcome of the project implemented in 12 schools of different cities and villages of Ukraine, in Odesa, Lviv, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Sumy, Volyn regions and the city of Kyiv. We would like to remind that the project, financed by UNESCO Heritage Emergency Fund, and supported by Living Heritage Entity, UNESCO Office in Ukraine, Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine and Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, resulted in resource kit “Training and learning with living heritage” creation in Ukrainian, as well as 11 case studies on base of pilot projects in Ukrainian schools. The scientific and theoretical support to the project was provided by the Institute for Cultural Research of National Academy of Arts of Ukraine and UNESCO Chair for scientific education at the Ukrainian State M. Drahomanov University.
