Project output as a perspective for the future interaction
The official awarding with certificates has become a kind of summary of the UNESCO Project “Teaching and learning with living heritage” realized in Ukraine in 2022–2023, embracing 12 schools from different regions of the country and involving students, teachers, experts and researchers, ICH bearers, cultural organizations and centers. The project has been implemented with support of the UNESCO Heritage Emergency Fund.
The event has been attended by the acting Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, Rostyslav Karandieiev, Head of the UNESCO Office in Ukraine, Chiara Dezzi Bardeschi, Leading specialist of the Department on education content, linguistic policy and education for national minorities of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Raisa Yevtushenko, Director of the Development Centre “Democracy through Culture”, Oleksandr Butsenko, Head of the UNESCO Chair of scientif education at the National State M. Drahomanov University, Denys Svyrydenko, representatives of school project teams, guests and partners.
The event has taken place at the International French school of Kyiv (Director: Henry Tiphaine), which was one of schools participating in the project. Students and teachers of French school have shared their impressions on the project, told about the future plans. Participants and guests have visited the school museum on culture and life of Ukraine and wrote down sincere words in Opinion book. The project, as participants have stressed, became an important incentive for interaction of different stakeholders, learning and use ICH in school curriculum and out-class activities.
