From community-based intangible cultural heritage to social entrepreneurship

By the end of January, the international project Erasmus + «CRAVT: From community-based intangible cultural heritage to social entrepreneurship. VET programme in craftsmanship within the Neighborhood East (Moldova and Ukraine)" has started.
The project is aimed at the development of cooperation between VET lecturers in the field of traditional crafts, artisans, entrepreneurs and NGOs for modernizing methodology and educational programs in Moldova and Ukraine, harmonizing them with European approaches and practice. By combining digital technologies and entrepreneur skills, the project will facilitate the acquisition of necessary professional knowledge, creation of employment opportunities, strengthening economic resilience of communities in disadvantaged regions. Besides, the project will contribute to cross-border cooperation matching with strategic objectives of the EU's Eastern Partnership (EaP) within the European Neighborhood Policy in knowledge exchange and capacity building.
A consortium of educational, academic, cultural and civic organizations from several countries executes the project. Representatives of consortium members have met in the Romanian Academy - Iasi Branch on 29-30 January 20226 to design the next steps and project algorithm.

The project Erasmus + CRAVT will raise the awareness of the intangible cultural heritage importance as a resource of quality and modern education and a leverage of economic growth of communities.
