The Festival “Living Culture – Living World” is conducted on September 30, 2023, in the National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine and the Development Centre “Democracy through Culture” (accredited in UNESCO), with support of the Company MHP-Hromadi, Association “See Ukrainian”, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Military Administration, Civil Society Organization “Alem”, under the patronage of the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO. The aim of the Festival, dedicated to  the 20th anniversary of the 2003 UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, is to highlight the role and place of the ICH in the modern world, including emergencies like the war. The Festival “Living Culture – Living World” will consist of the fair of crafts, round tables with participation of bearers, practitioners, experts and researchers, masterclasses, exhibitions and demonstration of films on ICH safeguarding. The online conference “20 yeas of Convention: Living Heritage against Missiles” will be carried out within the frames of the festival. The event will develop open air, at different locations representing regions of Ukraine, where various ICH elements inscribed on UNESCO and national lists will be presented by communities and individual bearers.
