Ukrainian pysanka: tradition and art

On 24 of April 2019, the round table “Ukrainian pysanka: tradition and art” organized by the National Union of Folk Art Masters of Ukraine, National Academy of Arts of Ukraine and the Development Centre “Democracy through Culture” will be held in the National Union of Folk Art Masters of Ukraine (Kyiv). 

Scientific researchers, experts and artists will discuss place and role of Ukrainian pysanka tradition in today’s realities as living culture of Ukrainian people bringing together high art of pysanka painting, popular worldview and national customs.

It is a unique phenomenon of the living culture of Ukraine able to unite around itself all regions of Ukraine and Ukrainians which live abroad, contributes to strengthening peace and social cohesion.
