On October 24, 2018, the united exhibition of art works “Collection for 100 anniversary of Lithuanian State renovation” has been opened in the National Museum Taras Shevchenko in Kyiv. The exhibition has an aim to present modern trends in the visual art of Lithuania in the context of the historic renovation of the Lithuanian State.
Edita Utarienė, project leader and the Head of the Lithuanian Artists’ Association, stated at the opening of exhibition that 100 works of art were selected among 200 submitted for contest by members of Artists’ Association. Selected works represent different genres discovering multiplied problems of the modern world. This exhibition was exposed earlier in Brussels, Belgium, at the European Commission space, BERLAYMONT Piazza.
The Ambassador of Lithuanian Republic in Ukraine, Marius Janukonis, stressed in his welcome address that it was his pleasure to open the exhibition of modern Lithuanian artists in Kyiv, and informed that recently, on October 18, the Museum of Modern Art «MO Muziejus» was opened in Vilnius.
The exhibition will be opened since October 24 till November 11, 2018.
Organizers are: Lithuanian Artists’ Association in partnership with Embassy of Lithuanian Republic in Ukraine and the National Museum Taras Shevchenko in Kyiv.
